Beckham’s Prototype Predators On eBay…He’s A Size 7, 3/4

In Blog on July 26, 2010 at 8:20 am

Check out this pair of customised Predators on eBay, for 3000 Euros. The boots belonged to David Beckham, and according to the vendor “are a mix between the 1998 accelerator model and the new 2000 precision model.”

Apparently, with the year being 1999, these prototypes were disguised, so that the public wouldn’t catch a glimpse of the new boot to be released. The Rubber Fins and Soles are different from the 1998 Accelerator Model. They are of course in Beckham’s poncey size, 7 and three quarters.

Crystal Palace In Escape To Victory!

In Blog on July 15, 2010 at 10:58 am

It’s a shirt that was clearly designed under the presumption that Crystal Palace wouldn’t have a sponsor at at all this season. But this new Nike kit, recently unveiled for financially struggling South London outfit Palace, includes a rather splendid logo under the crest, a somewhat innovative move in shirt design.

This Umbro/Chris Toy Collaborative Tee Arrived This Morning…

In Blog on July 15, 2010 at 10:29 am

Chris Toy, the man behind the excellent Studs Up site, has collaborated with kit monsters Umbro to produce this limited edition England tee-shirt. It came in my post sack this morning and really brightened my day. Okay, it’s a bit late, for we’ve already crashed out of the World Cup, but I’ll still be rocking this little beauty this afternoon.

FIFA World Cup Sleeve Patch (Fake Of Course), And Captain’s Armband

In Blog on July 3, 2010 at 7:18 pm

So I bought a FIFA World Cup patch for my England shirt on eBay. It came from Thailand, so naturally, it’s fake, but nevertheless I wanted it. And it came with a blue captain’s armband, the same as Gerrard’s. I’m a bit scared of ironing it on as the last thing I ironed onto a shirt from Thailand came off in five minutes.

All patched up

Anyway, here are some photographs. Read the rest of this entry »

Match Worn Teddy Sheringham Shirt, A Sneaky Glimpse

In Blog on July 2, 2010 at 12:11 pm

Another rare glimpse into my private collection today. This is the shirt worn by Spurs captain Teddy Sheringham against Manchester City on 18th April 2004, at White Hart Lane. The shirt came to me straight after the game, filthy dirty and so sweaty that it steamed up the plastic bag it came in. Just how they should! Oh, and the captain’s armband was still on the sleeve, inside out.
