Why This Blue Argentina Kit Is The Naughtiest Shirt Of All Time

In Blog on August 2, 2010 at 4:19 pm

There is something about the blue Argentina away kit. Okay, it obviously evokes Maradona’s ‘hand of God’ moment. But beyond that, it is a ‘naughty’ shirt- not in the Danny-Dyer-tugging-on-a-snout manner of naughty, but in that this simple away shirt is the official giftwrapping of the misbehaving Argentinean, of all flavours.

Bloody rare shirt, this

This week, the above shirt has appeared on eBay for sale at £2,999. It’s a steal really, for this is claimed to have been worn in the 1990 World Cup Final, by Pedro Monzon, who was sent off in that Final and who became the first player in World Cup history to be sent off in a final. Naughty indeed.

Phwoar

There is a certain fear associated with the Argentines running out in navy blue. For me, the shirt has that ominous terror of the stormtrooper (white) and the Argentine, (navy blue).

Impressive

You can bid on this shirt, on eBay, here. It’s clearly the most evil, ominous bastard of an away kit of all time, that’ll strike fear into your heart.
