Scott’s haul are all replica shirts, however I have yet to see a more complete collection of Spurs shirts outside the realms of the serious match-worn collectors. Mr Gilfeather, I doff my cap.

Another rare glimpse into my private collection today. This is the shirt worn by Spurs captain Teddy Sheringham against Manchester City on 18th April 2004, at White Hart Lane. The shirt came to me straight after the game, filthy dirty and so sweaty that it steamed up the plastic bag it came in. Just how they should! Oh, and the captain’s armband was still on the sleeve, inside out.

“As a Spurs fan, Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final brought back some stirring memories. Obviously, the game’s painfully embarrassing conclusion won’t be entering my personal vault of great Wembley moments along with Gazza’s ’91 free kick.

So I was fortunate enough to see the personal collection of a former member of Spurs staff this week. Some highlights here. Sorry for the upside down ones, I was excited. There will be news about who this person is, and some exciting plans very soon.

I used to pick up shirts worn by players you see, and I got carried away. At one point I had about 200- mainly from my beloved Spurs. As you can probably guess I’m now considering selling the lot. Apart from Klinsmann’s debut shirt, I think, which is currently on display at the National Football Museum, Preston. Do read on…
